Review guidelines
This site publishes reviews of real campsites, written by people registered here. This page explains what gets published, what does not, how reviews are checked, and what a campsite or a camper can do if they disagree with something published.
1. Who can review
Anyone with an account, created by signing in with Google. One review per campsite and person, and at most five reviews a day. The account exists so that there is someone behind each review, not so we know who you are: the only thing published is the public name you choose, which may be a pseudonym.
2. We do not verify stays
We ask for no invoice and no contract, and therefore we neither say nor imply that reviewers have stayed at the campsite. You will not find the words “verified reviews” anywhere on this site. We would rather say so than hint at a guarantee we do not give.
3. What gets published
- Reviews of a seasonal stay at the campsite: the pitch, the facilities, the way you were treated, the atmosphere, what you pay and what you get.
- Harsh criticism, as long as it is about facts and about the service. A well-argued bad review is exactly what the reader came for.
- Disagreements with the campsite's prices, rules or conditions, told for what they are: the reviewer's experience.
4. What is not published, and is removed if it slips through
- Insults, threats, degrading language or personal attacks on staff or other campers.
- Other people's personal data: staff names, number plates, other people's pitch numbers, phone numbers, photographs of people.
- Accusations of a crime or a serious breach stated as fact, with no ruling by anyone to back them.
- Text that is not about a stay: advertising, links, reviews of another campsite, comments about this website.
- Reviews written by the campsite itself, by its competitors, or on behalf of either.
- Duplicate, unintelligible or plainly false content.
5. How reviews are checked
Every review is read by a person before it is published, which is why it takes a while. The check looks at the list above, not at whether the review is good or bad: nothing is removed for being negative, nor because a campsite asks without a reason. Nothing is ranked or featured in exchange for money either. Reviews are published with the date they were written, and every published review of a campsite is shown — not a selection.
If a review is not published, its author gets no automatic notice — this is a small site and it is all done by hand. Write to us and we will explain why.
6. How to ask for a review to be removed
Anyone can ask: the campsite it talks about, a person affected by what it says, or whoever wrote it. Use the removal form, which you reach from the link under each review, so the request arrives already pointing at the one it is about. It helps if it says:
- Which specific part is being challenged.
- Why: which of the rules above it breaks, or which fact is false.
- Who you are and how you relate to what was published, so we know who we are answering.
We answer every one, usually within a few days. If the review breaks these rules it is removed; if it does not, we say why it stays. While a case involving other people's personal data or a serious accusation is being looked at, the review is unpublished.
7. The campsite's right of reply
A campsite that disagrees with a review has the right to answer it, and its answer is published next to the review under the campsite's name. Ask by writing to info@campingsdetemporada.es from an address belonging to the campsite, so we can check who is writing. The reply is checked against the same rules as reviews: it may disagree with everything, but not insult or disclose the camper's personal data.
Replying costs nothing and requires signing up for nothing. For now replies are published by hand; once managed profiles exist, campsites will be able to do it themselves.
8. If you disagree with our decision
This page replaces nothing: anyone who believes a published review harms their reputation or their personal data can go to the courts or, on data matters, to the Spanish Data Protection Agency. What we set out here is what we will do, and how quickly, so that it does not have to come to that.
9. Who is responsible
Reviews belong to the people who write them and we do not adopt them as our own. What we answer for is the moderation: checking reviews before publishing them, and removing whatever breaks these rules once we are told. The rest of the legal information is in the legal notice and the privacy policy.
